It's been a long road, but Sasha has finally claimed her role as the least knowledge mage in history. She's also acquired a new, incredibly grumpy bodyguard, and a spunky new BFF. With her team by her side, she learns the ropes of this new profession.
Her experience level is about to be fast-tracked, however.
On a routine trip to check out a perimeter breach, she encounters a hideous demon called by an experienced magic worker. It is this terrifying discovery that unlocks a deeper problem Stefan's troubled past and the reason he gravely mistrusts the Mata.
While Sasha struggles to fight the physical demons, Stefan struggles to fight the demons of his past. If he fails, his future in Sasha will be lost.

I love this series, so getting this after so long really made the experience much more special for me.The last installment wasn't up to par with the other books (this included) so I was really glad that Sasha, Stefan and the rest of the gang were able to go through some character development this time. The plot continues to unfold book by book, and this time, a lot more's been revealed, in my opinion. I can only imagine what will become of Sasha now, but whatever it is, I'm glad she grew up. She's still a reckless character, but that's what makes her so charming and adorable. I will forever love Charles, the comedic relief from all the sexy time and fighting. The race is a hilarious and intriguing group of people, a culture dedicated to sex and violence yet nearly reverent towards the thought of families and children (which I love). This book also introduces yet more characters from the human world, and with everything expanding and changing with the times, I seriously cannot wait to buy the next book.
I recommend this to those who love a good sense of humor, idiotic or witty, with cute moments between friends, families and lovers. If you love romance, hot sex, and the pain that goes with it, this book's for you. I don't recommend this to those who get offended easily, as I believe this book wouldn't (obviously) be of any use to you. I thoroughly enjoyed this and all the different concepts they made me think about, so if you're into hearing personal opinions and beliefs, take a risk and get this. I certainly didn't regret it.

Demons Darkness #4 edition by KF Breene Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
*sighs* I love the Darkness series… I really do but this book felt like book 2 for me – it kinda flopped. I finished reading the book in about 2.5 hours and I kept tapping my kindle asking where the rest of it was. Content wise it was alright; I didn’t gush over it the way I did book 1 and 3 BUT there were some awesome points. Sasha finds unity, a family, her place in the mansion. She learns to firmly grab her authority and wear it. She even puts Stefan in his place once or twice. I love Stefan he is great and in this book you see some of his flaws and issues. Personally I was proud that he was able to work through them and even learn to depend on Sasha but at the same time I hope that Sasha whoops his butt AT LEAST once. ) From the ending of the novel which was too short in my opinion I have learned there will be a 5th book in December which I am thrilled about. The final fight scene was epic at the end and had a good result. I am glad that Sasha learns to connect on some level with herself and others around her. She has seriously blossomed since book 1. Jonas is officially her mini shadow and Mini-boss coach – that’s cute too. We also learn a few things about Jonas that are a bit funny and unexpected as well. Poor Charles is still sort of the same as he has been- funny, annoying little brother type of comforting, and as always super horny. This felt like another bridge between segments and that’s ok. Bridges are important and necessary. I had just hoped for more.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as the others. It's a good series with a different take in the paranormal world, but.... I realize this is fantasy but there is just so much unrealistic in Sasha's character that it impacts the entire book. Sasha has black magic; top tier. Yet she is childish and admits she refuses to listen to Toa, her teacher so is basically an inept magic wielder. She tries to act professional when talking about dealing with demons yet when called to duty she is always the child, terrified, depending on others, falling under the influence of the demon, etc. In this one both the Clan and the Mata lost 25% of their people fighting the demon - 50% of those fighting while she was messing around, taking forever, to finally, finally, finally kill the demon - and only with the help of at least 12 others. And then we are supposed to believe she is admired and revered by all for saving the day? I don't see it happening. I would like Sasha a lot more if she would grow up and take some responsibility. I'd like to see her kick some ass on her own. Sure the smart mouth is entertaining and comical, but she needs to grow into her position as mage. Instead the author has her acting like a child most of the time while being revered as an adult mage. Not happening for me. I'll read the next one and hope for the best.
